Dear interested families,
We are very pleased that you are considering applying to Countryside School. Applications are available starting in January for entry the following fall. They should be submitted by the end of February for grades K-5 and by the end of March for grades 6-8, in order to be considered in the first round of admissions. Late applications are handled on a space-available basis. Although the major points of entry are kindergarten and sixth grade, we accept new students into any grade if space is available.
Qualified students for whom there is no space will be placed in a wait pool in case an appropriate opening occurs. The wait pool expires when the next admissions season begins. Countryside does not form a wait list prior to review of applications.
A tour or attendance at an Open House or Information Meeting is required as the first part of the application process so that families may understand the school mission and program. You can call or email me to schedule an individual tour to see the classrooms in action during the school day. Families from out of town who are unable to visit during the application process should speak with me about alternate arrangements.
