The 2nd / 3rd grade class presented four new bicycles with helmets to  the Center for Women in Transition.  The students helped assemble the bicycles as part of their science unit on simple machines and then donated them as a service project to the Center.   Two representatives from the Center came to speak to the students about the service the Center provides and the importance of giving back to the community.
