COVID-19 Impact

Fall 2021 Update

The difference a year makes! As of June 2021, we plan to open our classrooms this fall with everyone in-person in this next phase of post-Covid life.  We are dedicated to keeping our Countryside community safe, so the following requirements are already in place:

  • Our entire staff and faculty are fully vaccinated.
  • We highly encourage that our students be vaccinated as soon as they qualify. (Many of our middle school students have already been vaccinated.)
  • Masks will be required to be worn by everyone in the building, regardless of vaccination status.
  • We plan to be entirely in-person this year with a limited asynchronous remote learning option for students required to quarantine.

Our plans are still being finalized as we continue to work with the IDPH and ISBE guidelines for safe school operation. Requirements related to vaccination and testing are still evolving. We will let our community know as soon as we have additional information.

Fall 2020 Reopening Plan

On August 20 Countryside reopened for in-person learning for the 2020-21 school year! Our families have a choice of 5-day a week in-person learning or remote learning.

Masks are required for anyone in the building. Currently, only students, faculty and staff are allowed inside the building. We abide by the health and safety protocols shown in our reopening plan and IDPH, ISBE, and CDC guidelines.

Our full Reopening Plan was sent to our current families. Below is the COVID Plan Overview.

"A big THANK YOU to all of the Countryside faculty and staff. Your innovation and dedication have been the key to helping our families adjust to all of this craziness. Continuing our children's education as well as just keeping them in a school-type routine has been invaluable. THANK YOU!" Parent - April 2020
